  Here’s the thing about Sandusky…

  He got caught.

  Those who are caught are in the minority. We can hate Sandusky all day long, and it appears the American public is okay with that. After all, he’s a real-life pedobear, an actual monster. We can finally put a face on evil. 

  Or we could put our energies into stopping the Sanduskys that are still out there, because as I type this, there are adults preying on children. And although many are inherently, irreversibly evil, we as a society should put less attention on our “CASTRATE HIM!” signs and our emotionally-driven hypothetical punishments.

  I don’t know what came first, the chicken or the egg. Was it the media that decided the young-looking are the beautiful, or was it our culture that decided it for them? Whatever the case may be, Sandusky is a single man. More like him are out there right now, as are their silent victims. 

  Getting rid of the problem doesn’t mean getting rid of Sandusky. It means getting rid of something that is ingrained into our culture. The seed of evil that sprouted Sandusky is spread throughout all of this nation, and that’s where our focus should be. Yes, let’s castrate Sandusky. But let’s also castrate this nation.
