'Community' Star Donald Glover Developing Comedy for NBC | THR

Donald Glover inspires me more than anyone in this town. His song “We Ain’t Them” completely changed the trajectory of my career. I believe he’s the highlight of Community, despite being a huge fan of Joel McHale. He was made fun of as a kid and learned how to use comedy to deflect all that.

I met Donald Glover one time. He was funny. And he approached my wife and me, not the other way around. I complimented Heartbeat and the album, Camp. He made a joke to my wife about her peeing on herself. Funny guy. Meek.

I have a weird fan/idol relationship with Glover, and I have a weird sense of pride when I read stories like this. The guy deserves every ounce of success he gets.
